Trim and Edge in Seconds

The swivel head rotates quickly between trimming and edging modes, letting you create clean borders along paths, patios, and flower beds with ease. The result is a neat, well-defined finish across your entire garden, without the need for a separate edging tool.

30 Minutes of Cordless Power

Corded trimmers limit how far you can reach, and swapping batteries mid-job slows you down. With 30 minutes of cordless power on a single charge, you have plenty of runtime to complete your trimming and edging tasks and tackle your entire yard without interruption.

Balanced Design for Comfort

An unbalanced trimmer quickly becomes hard work, especially on longer jobs. The adjustable ergonomic handle and included shoulder strap harness spread the weight evenly across your body, reducing strain on your back and shoulders so you can keep going with ease.

  • Safe, Simple Blade Changes

Easy-fit plastic blades clip on and off in seconds. Your GT50 comes with 20 blades included, with affordable replacement packs available.

  • Light Enough to Use Anywhere

Weighing just 4 lbs, the lightweight design reduces fatigue during use. The split pole separates for compact storage when you're done.

  • Gtech GT50 Gardening tool on a grassy area with greenery in the background

    9-Inch Cutting Path

The powerful 9000 RPM motor and wide cutting path deliver fast, clean cuts, letting you tidy up borders and edges in fewer passes.

  • Built-In Safety Features

Plastic blades and a protective shroud keep you safe while trimming, and a safety switch prevents accidental starts.

  • LED Battery Indicator

Four LED lights show your remaining charge at a glance, so you always know how much runtime you have left.

  • Compatible Battery

The 18V lithium-ion battery is interchangeable with the Gtech HT50 Hedge Trimmer, so you can swap between tools or double your runtime with a spare.

Reviews

Phenomenal customer support and great, easy to use product

"Phenomenal customer support and great, easy to use product"

— Diana F. (5/5)

The strimmer was very satisfactory.

"The strimmer was very satisfactory. It coped with fairly long grass on my allotment and the advertised battery life of 30 minutes was pretty accurate. I got through three blades in a one hour session (I bought a second battery) hitting stones or bits of wood but with more care I think a blade would have lasted a session easily. The instructions were clear and it felt well-made and safe. The machine was reasonably light although I felt it in my shoulders the day after the session . Before and after photos shown."

Handy Tool

"This strimmer is the second I have bought. My daughter’s borrowed mine and we’re so impressed, I treated them to this one. These strimmers are light and easily used, with one exception. The blades are very difficult to fit. I have to use a large hook to pull the blade into place. My youngest daughter has also found this method helpful."

— Yvonne E. (4/5)

2nd Gtech Strimmer 👍

"This is the 2nd Gtech strimmer we have bought, think we just wore out our Ist model with over use and after more than 12 years. The cutting blade system is so easy to change and use. Very good quality all round. Only disappointing thing was I bought our new one with 25% discount bringing cost down to £99. 99, very pleased. Only to see an advert a week later for £79. 99 🤨."

— Hilary D. (5/5)

Temperamental Grass Edge Trimmer

"The lawn edge cutter looks good and feels good but the cover keeps falling off and to edge a very small lawn takes at least two to three blades. I would have sent it straight back but I didn’t know how to undo the handle to get it back in the box. So I would not recommend. I gave enjoyed my other Gtech products."

— Margaret W. (3/5)

Great Machine

"Yes this is my second one and I find the weight and balance to my liking, l had open heart surgery last year and people helped me with the hedges but 12 months later I have started myself again and this hedge trimmer is perfect weight no straining, I’d had my previous one for a few years and for some reason it snapped hence I bought another one, l wasn’t going to let that mishap stop me from getting a replacement simply because of what I have said, ITS PERFECT for me anyway"

— Stella D. (5/5)

Poor product

"First time using the product was billowing smoke from the base. I’m overly concerned that for the price that was paid by my father this product doesn’t feel safe when using it . Battery was fully charged and had only been used for less than 5mins before what I think / hope was overheating but very poor for the price. The strimmer parts are dangerous flying off at ‘random’ moments when grass strimming. Overall it’s a very expensive poor experience for such a big brand"

— Peter Y. (1/5)

Thus is the second one

"Thus is the second one I’ve had, the first one was great until the battery wouldn’t go in anymore. I contacted Gtech but got no reply. The beacons is much the same but the battery seems to take much longer to charge than the old one and the charge doesn’t seem to last as long."

— Michael B. (5/5)

Excellent product. Prompt delivery with

"Excellent product. Prompt delivery with good, protective packaging. Instruction manual clear and easy to understand. Easy assembly. Light and easy to use - strap a useful and welcome addition, Charges in the stated time. Would recommend. Oh!! And the discount was great!"

The product is wonderful, my

"The product is wonderful, my daughter came to visit with her GT50 and tidied up our garden and even I had a go, I am 82 years of age and I found it was so easy and light. So I brought one for our garden and we are getting so tidy I cannot believe the difference from our old strimmer and cannot wait to have another go around the rest of our garden. Many thanks jq."
